National Coordinators

National Coordinators

National coordinators are the focal points for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial in their country. National coordinators help to build national partnerships for the program as well as guide community coordinators in the planning of their International AIDS Candlelight Memorial activities.

National coordinators are voluntary representatives of the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial in their countries. Their expertise and experience as leading civil society health implementers are critical to strengthening the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial.

National Coordinators serve a three year term, and are rewarded a certificate as a result of their service. Anyone who has served for at least one year as a registered community coordinator is eligible to apply to become a national coordinator. The Global Network of People living with HIV will make selections based on experience with the Candlelight Memorial, HIV/AIDS and health-related issues, community mobilization, and other factors. National coordinators may not serve consecutive terms unless they represent the only viable choice from that country.

The Global Network of People living with HIV and national coordinators communicate through an international email listserve to share strategy, feedback and reports from their countries. National coordinators are not expected to coordinate nationwide memorials, but can organize memorials in their own community.

To apply to become a National Coordinator, please send a message to GNP+ to express you interest. New national coordinator selections for countries missing in this list continue. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
