Community Coordinators
Community Coordinator Candlelight Memorial EventCommunity coordinators are the worldwide volunteer community activists and professionals who plan and host memorials in their communities each year for the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. Community coordinators are often at the frontline of the HIV epidemic and represent a diverse coalition of community and national leaders. They include doctors, nurses, students, teachers, researchers, business people, government personnel, religious leaders, organizations as a whole, or anyone concerned with ending AIDS.

Once you register as an official Candlelight Coordinator, you receive the following:
  • A free coordinator packet with manual, posters, and other information;
  • Posting of your contact information internationally on the Candlelight website;
  • Eligibility to become a National or Regional Coordinator;
  • Opportunity to be matched in the Candlelight Connections program;
  • Chance to have your memorial selected for the next Opening Ceremony.
Registration is FREE and anyone can serve. Community coordinators are the most important part of the Global Network of People living with HIV effort to remember those lost to AIDS and take action for a brighter future.
